Father makes heartbreaking plea to daughter Lyla-Jane Lake, 13, who disappeared on Wednesday and has missed ALL of Christmas with her family - as 'extremely concerned' police continue their hunt for her

Brown-eyed Lyla, the cousin of Olympic high jumper Morgan Lake, missed Christmas with her family after she went missing from her home in Basingstoke, Hampshire, - no one has seen or heard from her since. Major searches in her hometown have so far failed to find any trace of the child and police have said they are 'extremely concerned' for her welfare. Her father Nathan Lake today issued an urgent plea for anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to come forward, before telling his teenage daughter directly: 'Daddy loves you.' Recording a video, he said: 'My 13-year-old daughter Lyla has been missing for five nights and my family and I are pleading for someone out there just to please come forth with any information surrounding her whereabouts.'
